Morning Ride

Absolutely gave my best out there today.

The weather was almost perfect, cloud and reasonable warm, but super hot. Started around 6:30am with Matt van Heukelom and Declan Reilly-Gordon and start pacing the first climb trying to focus on not burning all my matches before the top, Matt really helped me to stay still. Almost on the top bumped into 🌈 Skittle Power🌈 and Ben Kaspar. Descending Monitor pass eastbound was crazy fast (I am not a perfect descent cyclist but was going down safe(ish) hahahaha). Turned around and saw Conor Tuttle and Ian Tuttle ⛄️ flying downhill. Kept the pace for another 16km uphill and just got a drink on the feed station (the line was huge and I did not want to wait that long) and hope I could make till the next one with the water I have left on my bottle, which worked pretty well once there was feed stations all over the place (you won't ride more than 60min without support), as fast as the descent was, I saw Will Brickler climbing full gas. Ebbetts pass was challenge but I have done it before, so I kinda knew what expect, a lot of people cheering and yelling at us, it is really motivating. However, the road to pacific grade was by far the hardest part of the ride for me (37x33 wasn't a good choice) and I had to stay focus on the plan but I started felling a little fatigue. Ebbetts pass eastbound was a relief because I knew it was 8km at 6% and steady, but not the last climb. Descent Ebbetts pass was great, took it easy and once I got to the bottom I pressed the last lap bottom and remembered the emblematic Top Gun movie phrase "Don't think, just do it. 
6h30min after I pressed the stop bottom (I am glad no one took a picture of me when I arrived, hahaha).

Ian Tuttle ⛄️  you inspired me to complete this,  am I looking forward to next year? not sure hahaha.
