I wasn't sure if I really need to do this race in 37C, Garmin is also saying I have record low HRV. But it was almost on the way back from Balaton with a small detour. Long story short, I arrived 30 mins before the start, getting bib numbers, borrowing a floor pump, asking mother to pin the bibs etc. I didn't want them to wait for me in the heat, I packed 2 extra bottles in the back pockets that wasn't really comfortable. For this distance I didn't get food, I thought at this temperature I won't have an appetite. I got there 3 mins before the start, quick pee break, and I still had a full 60 seconds to spare. 
I had no teammates, nor any help. The 2 Lotus teams, Green Riders, represented with plenty of riders, there were some smaller teams and some strong individuals. The plan was to stay shielded, at the 1st third of the race and only follow attacks if it's really necessary. 
There was a 5km long neutral start, that was my warm up at the back of the peloton. 
The start was right after a roundabout that stretched out the field so, I already had to close gaps in front of me. 
Not far into the race, around km 10, I saw a break up front, and a smaller break in front of them. Everyone teams were represented, I had to close it, but the first group stayed away. It had 3 Lotus  riders (international riders who should have been marked by everyone) and maybe 2 Hungarian guys who got dropped fast. The trio had around 5-10 seconds lead, but I sit up, it wasn't my responsibility to close it. That was a bad move as their gap went up to 10s. I pulled through at the front, or maybe it was more like an attack, but I was surprised that me and 4 other riders got a healthy gap. Too bad 2 of them was from Lotus, and one was just selfish who didn't really help. The 5th guy was Dobai from Green Riders. As we reached a hill, a strange guy bridged to the front, but I was too tired to follow. From them it was 4 vs 4. The 2 lotus guys attacked us, wanted to bridge too, but couldn't really do it, until they got away from us. Now it was 4-2-2. The chasing 2 had a gap of 5s, we couldn't really let them go, as if the front waits them then we have a chance to reach the front. One of them made it, but someone from the front got a puncture and we never saw him again. We caught the solo Lotus rider. The strange guy who didn't help us but bridged the front got dropped into our group. Now it was 3 vs 4, but the 3 of us worked. Slowly their gap started to increase, and we were giving up. I was totally cooked even wanted to abandon, the peloton was also in our sight. Right now we are around km 40. Then we saw 3 riders (2 Green Riders, 1 KSI), who caught us, and gave some motivation to chase. I was optimistic first as also the Lotus rider did some healthy pulls, and it was 7 vs 3. The gap was around 1:30 at this time. Unfortunately 2 guys instantly started to suffer and skipping pulls, and we had to worry more about getting caught. I think we worked well, everyone gave what they could, which was enough to stay away, but the overall podium flew away too. I was okay to pull harder, as I had no age group contestants near me. 3 km from the finish, the 3 green riders started to prep for the sprint. Benedek made a nice pace at the front, but Pogi and Dobai forced me in front of them. Of course I was expecting a long attack from someone. At the flamme rouge Pogi launched his attack on the left. I couldn't wait for anyone, I followed as soon as I could. At nearly 400m he stopped as I was close to him, but I didn't close it all the way, I was looking for a sprinters gap, but he didn't go until the end. Now I had to pay attention to the counters, but for my luck? we rolled up to 250m, where Dobai attacked, but it was a head to head sprint, no one got slipstream. I felt like it's a neverending sprint, I had a small lead all the way to the finish securing 4th place.
