I was going for the Alpine Lakes Grand Tour route/FKT and was supposed to finish with the Enchantments but I just about had to be med evac’d, haha. I was rained on for over fifteen hours straight and although I was feeling good during the day I ran into some more difficult and hard to follow trails at night and had to slow my pace down…which means I had a lot of trouble staying warm. I ended up taking a little unintentional nap in the emergency blanket but even afterward I couldn’t warm up. I was shivering all the next day and didn’t want to do Aasgard in the dark. Despite the challenges, it was a pretty amazing route. I saw less than 20 people out there.
