Nature walk with Ru

First time on Northernly Island, which used to be Meigs Field, a single-runway airport, from 1948-2003.

So beautiful there with native plants and trails. I even saw a whole bunch of bright yellow American Goldfinches! Had to leave before exploring the whole island because it started to rain. Next time!

Almost got blown into the lake heading back due to an insane headwind. Every one running/walking/cycling North was struggling 😅

I saw a few cyclists abandoning the lakefront trail and taking the underpass to get away from the strong wind! I did too, and when I got above ground on the other side, I saw more cyclists using the underpass. 

Even riding in the streets, heading North was so windy! 

Can't wait to explore Northernly Island again!
