With Phil...up and down through the clouds and mist to Pierre St Martín (twice...!!).
First, straight up the main route to Spain from Arette; starts off gently but soon you find yourself climbing some steep ramps. An all too brief bask in the sunshine at the top (the only time we saw blue skies all day...😒😒). Then back down to the valley via Hourcère for a refuel and thaw out.
A couple of coffees helped us talk ourselves into the second planned ascent, this time via Col de Soudet - similar gradients to the first climb but on very quiet country lanes.
Then got soaked descending through the mist back down to base in the valley. Except for that, a cracking day out...
