Hit a big rock out of nowhere in the middle of the road. Punctured and slipped my hands of the handlebar. Broke my helmet and should probably have been taken out after the concussion protocol. 

Worst possible place to crash, 300 meters before a big climb. Hard chase back, and finished the race in the grupetto. Felt pretty instant that my body did not deserve any more pain today
