European Divide - no trail today - making up some distance

One of those I'm actually quite productive, but it feels like I've done nothing all day - so tiring the legs and drinking coffee at Rocket - Ciclista e Barista felt right. 

I'm looking for tips on:
- Shoes after breaking the sole on my previous one. Have to good and comfy for both riding gravel and walking.  Anyone experience with the new Canyon shoes? The Fizik ones? Any others? 
- Little solar panel I can put on my (soon to be acquired) tailfin to change phone / gps? 
- Any cool / new accessories / tools?
