I did three laps, I went early and thought I’d get to see a nice sunrise, unfortunately it was super foggy, though I saw some deer and turkeys. I also tried consuming more sugar during my ride to prevent cramps, so I added a quarter teaspoon of table salt and half a cup of table sugar to each of my bottles of sugar free gatorade (that’s all we had at home) and oh my god it was so fucking nasty. i drank a bottle of it before my ride for “breakfast” and it kinda made me feel a little sick. the salt was fine but the sugar made it so disgustingly sweet that i was only able to make it through one bottle during my ride. I do not recommend. I’ve seen recommendations for maltodextrin, but I’ve heard mixed things about it for long-term health (it’s also more expensive).
