Warmup for the PCT

Last run for >3 months

Was under record pace until the heat (temp began around 70 and climbed to a sunny 80+ by midday) and early slightly aggressive pacing caught up to me.  Imploded very quickly and in spectacular fashion in the heat of the day around 25 miles in.  Had to walk/run for about 10 miles before a forecasted thunderstorm rolled in, right as I was dropping off the GRt on the Mt. Franklin trail.  While it soaked me and made my phone inoperable I welcomed the free shower and the cooldown (and/or lightning-related adrenaline?) helped me move faster.

Already thinking about how to approach this smarter next time (mainly pick a cooler day and slow down a little).  Hydration/fueling seemed ok (I started with 2L, which got me to my planned fill up spot 25 miles/4 hr in, mixed with 1200 calories of tailwind = 300 calories/hr).  

Overall this is a beautiful, dangerously runnable, trail in a beautiful place.
