Big thanks to Alex Laub, who got the male record this week, for encouraging me to go for it. After UTMR I’ve been curious if perhaps these shorter sub ultra distances could be something I could get faster at and enjoy. Nutrition wasn’t great- started good but then I just stopped eating because nothing is convenient to eat when you’re trying to move fast. I wasn’t confident in myself going into this but gave it a try anyway and as I made every split I began to have confidence. Just worried about running out of steam, the last climb is a slow burning b*tch. Emptied the tank for sure. Such an enjoyable loop. Pic of my permit bc it didn’t get checked and I’m pissed I have a dollar to the cronies at rec.gov.
