Lakeland Maize Trail Half Marathon - 1st 🥇

Horrid NE headwind up red screes and over to Fairfield in the clag. If I’m honest, my legs were still tired from the race and recce last week and I was making every excuse  to quit, however I found a second wind off Fairfield to Nab scar. 
Sadly, while trying to avoid tourists I rolled my left ankle with a very loud snap. I stopped to assess, then decided as I was ahead of time to walk it off and hobble in. Managed to get up Loughrigg alright, but cautious coming down for fear of rolling it again, a very painful last kilometres however managed to run a new Fastest Known Time on the round.
