This Friday I took on my first (and possibly last 😅) hundred miler. It was incredibly hard. I am wrecked. We had highs in the 90’s both days for an astronomical DNF rate. I ran really well for first 60 miles or so and then by mile 70 the wheels came completely off. I really don’t know happened. My legs just completely gave up. I couldn’t even hike with energy. The last 30 miles were a slow slog but I didn’t want to quit because if I quit I’d feel like I needed to try it again. 😅

I’m proud to have finished but humbled thinking about folks who do this repeatedly. 😳 Single hardest physical feat I’ve finished and I’m more blown away than ever by folks who have done multiple hundreds.
