This route traverses the Bend mountain skyline (North, Middle, and South Sister; Broken Top, and Mt. Bachelor) on a mostly open course. 

It was either this or repeat the trifinity loop and when I mention doing that I get horror looks. So someone else is up. 
What an outstanding day with a good friend. I’ve probably done more vert with Alex Laub but in few days this year than with anyone else, he’s a terrific partner for a sufferfest- because it becomes mostly fun and only a little suffering. 
This one has been on the radar for years. I hit my 10th north sister summit, 9th middle, 37th south, and maybe 16th broken top? Among a million bachelors. The day was DIFFICULT. Never again going up the north ridge of south, that is meant for downhill traffic ONLY. North was a fun, beautiful way to start the day. 
The terrain is so difficult, so chossy, so consequential, steep, rough… it’s also constantly changing. The glaciers are getting so small. Much I’ve never seen melted, is this year. 
I didn’t think I’d be capable of running after broken top, but pigs do fly. 
The most gorgeous sunset right as we summited the final peak.
