FIRST Known Time as it wasn't fast but challenge is now set for anyone as stupid as me to attempt it 🤣🤣
If I never run on sand again, I'll be happy. The recent rain firmed it up quite a bit until around midday but by then it had dried out. The trail is pretty much over grown along the edge of the southern rifle range so a fire trail diversion was necessary, also hard to navigate heading south a few km from Neaves Rd. Definitely easier to follow on the way back North especially with 2 sets of eyes, Alexis paced me for safety and security as I was worried about 4wds in the evening.
2 sets of eyes became 1.5 12km from the end when a Zamia palm attacked my right eye. Slow pace went to glacial as I had no depth perception. I was hoping for a finish in the 16s but happy with sub 18 hours. Thanks to my family for supporting me, Alexis and Uber-Glen ❤️❤️❤️
