Zwift - Endurance Z2 on Zwift Games 2024 Epic in Watopia

The idea was to repeat last year’s strategy, in other words “Race at the front”… party later! Got out Vorlage ⛰️ 5th wheel I think with two teammates, Marc-André Faucher & Jérémy Picard-Fiset  then the chase was on to catch Nick Kleban solo up front. Matteo Dal Cin’s group caught up with us and we ended up forming an 11-men breakaway. It was the Matteo & Nick show 🌶️ on most of the hills leading to the Paugan Dam. Barely survived all the attacks. After that, we were down to 7 guys (Dal Cin, Kleban, Faucher, Desjardins, Gauthier, Daigle, and myself) until Shouldice. At that point, most of us were riding on fumes and managing cramps and back pain. There was a split but I made it back to the top 5 on the McLaren downhill. I then attacked Daigle and passed Nick who crashed on the last turn, ending up 3rd. I found it to be harder than last year with more heavy hitters and I’ve been sick like 5 times since the Spring so I’m pretty happy I could make it on the podium again this year! Chapeau to the organizers 🎩
