Very, very proud of my legs, head & heart today. And everyone in the club for that matter!

My goal was sub 35, so this was completely unexpected. It's been a bit of a year for this, really. 
A fresh but sunny start line brought reasons to be optimistic, despite the 10 minute delay (anticlimatic), but we got going.

Was holding onto 3rd/4th for a good couples miles, speeding up past the Run Happy cheer stand (good vibes from them), but fell back a bit at the beginning of Rustlings Road (as the hills began), the next two miles of uphill were fractionaly slower from me but pulled the speed back after the Riverdale climb was done with.

A strong finish to be very pleased with.
7th out of 4702 runners
32.40 (2.33 mins pb)

+ a 5k best 
15:54 (20 second pb)
Finally, joining the illusive sub 16 club!

Lessons learned:
*accept when you can't hold onto a pace, let others pass you & find the comfort zone (ish), keep your calm & plow on, which I did. It can be easy to let it knock you when your passed but their running their race & you yours.

Stuffed some pancakes with a good gang after, downed some coffee, good times!!!
