Got bumped by an overzealous racer going into the first climb and that was almost my day over with a close call with a very unfriendly looking metal post. Went into the first bottleneck top 30 or so and went into TT mode, with no series points I was riding for the front. About an hour in I found the front and tail gunned until the fireworks went off after the aid at mile 30. Managed to be one of 6 riders who made the split and started working my way up the group finding myself chasing in 4th for most of the day. Made a rookie mistake by not filling my USWE with enough fluid and blew sky high but hung on for 6th 🤘
