ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT SPEED RECORD | 2 DAYS, 18 HOURS, 19 MINUTES (UNOFFICIAL)

After nearly three days of relentless running through the heart of the Himalayas, I’m beyond humbled to share that I’ve set a new speed record for the Annapurna Circuit, finishing in 66 hours and 19 minutes. While it’s still pending official verification, this accomplishment feels surreal and profoundly meaningful to me.

This journey pushed me to my absolute limits in every way. On day one, severe gastrointestinal distress nearly brought the run to an end, and I was on the verge of giving up. Then, as I faced a snowstorm at the base of Thorong La Pass at 17,840 feet (5,416 m), fear really set in. But the biggest challenge came at the end of day two when, exhausted from sleep deprivation and altitude, I was completely disoriented and battling through sandstorms. It was a test of both body and mind. But despite these moments of doubt and fear, I pushed on.

Over 270,933 steps, 162.2 miles (261 km), and 36,197 feet (11,030 m) of elevation gain, this journey wasn’t just about breaking a record—it was about embracing the raw beauty, power, and unpredictability of these mountains. Running from Besisahar to Nayapul, I avoided jeep roads and took the harder trails wherever possible, wanting to experience the circuit in its truest form. Yet, what truly fueled me along the way was the kindness and generosity of the incredible locals. Their warmth, hospitality, and the hearty meals they prepared at each tea house kept my spirit strong through the toughest stretches.

In the last two years, I’ve become extremely fond of this country for the kindness of the locals and the beauty of the great outdoors. I’m raising funds for the Himalayan Rescue Association, whose essential work provides life-saving medical care and critical altitude training for both locals and trekkers.
