I got two FKTs in one fairly long effort. Both were tough in different ways. On the outbound, I ran consistently at around my Lactate Threshold pace. Beat the previous FKT by about 4.5 minutes. On the return, for the round trip FKT, I jogged fairly easily and stopped a few times to take some pictures. Toward the end, my legs became very tight and I had to push a bit harder than I wanted to get the RT FKT. All's well that ends well.

The course is quite bucolic! It's a rails-to-trails, mostly flat route passing through a few old towns with scenic rolling hills to the left and right. It's all asphalt so I wore my racing flats. Similar to a couple days ago, I'm wiped out after this effort. I need to take it easy for the next few days.
