Whew this was a tough one - day 1 home from Virginia

466 vehicles, 1.8/mi, 0.4/min, 37.3mph(avg)
Took way longer than anticipated (was planning on 16mph and only averaged 14,5) so I cut off a bunch of the roads I had planned on exploring south of Sylacauga and made a bee line straight there on AL-148 which I have ridden many times (my first bike race was on it in 1993) - having also run out of water yet again … with a high of almost 70 degrees I hadn’t planned out my stops accounting for more summer-like water usage. But cutting all that out meant I could stop by the house and add on 14 more miles back home with my son!
