Forecast said minimal rain north of Aberdeen, and so it proved - dry roads from start until 15-20km before the end. Epic tailwind north, crosswinds were dicey. Realised it was going to be brutal heading back so cut route short; Coffee Apothecary in Pitmedden was excellent (porridge 😋). Increasingly grim from then on, but only spitting, no actual rain. Lake CX146 winter boots worked well.  Was feeling sort of ok, bit weary after Fri night still, but full-on cold by pm - ride more for mental than physical wellbeing.
