I can’t imagine a more beautiful race. Unreal experience. 
Dry weather this wk made for a dusty, spicy mess on the gravel sectors. Roadies be roadie’n… crashes left and right, one 5 rider pile up took me down, but fortunately no damage to my bike and mere flesh wounds. 
Chased back on and was able to stay with the lead group until the top of San Martino in Grania. Got popped and spent the rest of the day with a solid group of 5- felt amazing on the final climb into the Piazza. 
Thanks to the Simmons family for helping make this happen!
