I think being a man is a lot less about being “super tough” and more about tending to the crop. 

Being emotionally available to those who come to you. 

Being willing to take care of yourself and reach out when you’re not well. 

Being focused on paying it forward and teaching those younger than you. 

Being forgiving of those who harmed you. 

Being capable of holding discipline with an open palm, and not using your gifts as weapons. 

Finally, being willing to admit when you’re wrong and dropping the pride in order to do what you have to do to tuck the tail and get it right. 

Patience, love, and tolerance is the code. 

Walk gently.
