This was a huge section of the course I’ve never seen before, and after today have now seen 91% of the Big Sur 100 Course and feeling close to ready to give it a go. 

>PRT Barlow Flat - Washed out section on PRT is completely impassable, have to go down and cross river x 2, unavoidable to get feet wet. Water is currently about mid thigh
>After Sikes the trail rapidly deteriorates and is obviously much less traveled. 
>Poison oak is everywhere along Big Sur Trail.  The downhill side of the trail is very soft and easily breaks/gives away
>”Devils Staircase” segment is really not that bad
>Really dense and brushy, very reminiscent of the Wasatch course. 
> Feet were wet for about 8 hours
>wasted alot of time filtering water getting lost and taking pictures 
>TICKS, plucked off at least a dozen
>Broke a new pole, tore a new shirt
>UNREAL views
>Prodigo Pros with red curex insole are 10/10
