Woke up this morning feeling decent, throat & voice starting to recover but nose still runny. Met up with Cam and rolled to the start in the cold, but didn't layer up as I knew we'd get warmed by the climb.

Our fast group rolled turns real smoothly for the "flat" 50K to the climb, everyone knowing what was ahead of us.

When we finally hit the climb our pack splintered immediately, with 2 strong climbers pulling clear fairly quickly. I settled in to my steady 400~450W and picked off the few guys ahead until I got into third and Oliver slotted in behind me. We then climbed in step up the rest of the climb, view the 2 guys ahead slowly opening the gap.

As we crested the steepest section, I put in a little attack but Oliver responded immediately. We flew the flats and into the final climb over the pass. Oliver came up and offered to work together, something I'd been thinking for the past several minutes.

So together we smashed the downhill and I took main pulling duties on the flat, somehow my legs were still feeling fantastic and I regularly found I could push 400+W to keep us moving a light speed. Oliver jumped up a few times on the really fast sections to give me a rest, and before long we hit the finish feeling like a million bucks!

Sinched 3rd on today's stage which is good enough for some prize money 💸
