Had been somewhat dreading this first  section 28km flat along the sea front mainly on roads. To my surprise it was fine & a great opportunity to switch off mentally from the effort of spotting way markers, checking my watch map & looking at my feet. Actually jog / walked much of it! Into Karaoz for an early refuel then on out towards Gelidonya lighthouse. This section is much hyped, which often leads to disappointment. It was v pleasant forest with occasional great views out to sea, but nothing spectacular. On the plus side the paths were much better than anticipated, so made good progress. Slightly sketchy camp pitch on a sloping rocky forest floor, but they can’t all be perfect!
