Probably the most exhausting metric century I've ever ridden and my first on the Panasonic Sport 1000 on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I managed to ride through three counties (Montgomery County, Howard County, and Prince George's County) with a long stop at Brighton Dam Azalea Garden near the MoCo/HoCo border to enjoy peak azalea blooms by the dam. I was pleasantly surprised by the roads through Fulton, Scaggsville, and Laurel, and disappointed by the intense winds coming back west through PG County and eastern MoCo. The combination of strong 15+ mph winds and steep hills made the trip exhausting, but the beautiful, mild, and clear sunset weather made it all worth it. I definitely needed the americano and bacon, egg, and cheese croissant I got at the Layhill Dunkin' to manage the last 25 miles or so.
