I "Borrowed" a Coil Shock from Santa's Sled...

Given a surprisingly supple tax return (god bless the accountants), I decided to upgrade my Revel cross country mtb frame to a Rocky Mountain trail frame, in order to embrace the local terrain of roots and rocks more readily. And it was on sale, which pleases my Scottish roots... 

The suspension travel increased, the weight came down, the RM Instinct proved to be a very capable climber and descender on the test laps today at Morte Lake.

Unfortunately, as I was switching parts from the Revel over to the new frame, Revel announced they would be folding (thanks tariffs). Coincidentally, Rocky Mountain had just resurrected from it's own corporate death recently, and seems to build one helluva bike!

And so the world turns...the wheels keep a-rolling.
