Finally took the Franklin Up-Down KOM. I’ve been going to Franklin ever since I was kid, even had my 8th birthday party there before they cut down the rare coastal redwood trees.

This segment didn’t come without its challenges and its risks. I crashed on the descent last summer, and today I nearly skidded into a car on the steep downhill. In any event, I vowed one day to snipe the KOM and the day finally came. Feeling in great shape and happy to be alive!
