Day 82: to Coltsfoot Valley Farm (1484.5) - 20.4 

The rain on the tin roof of the shelter last night was great but not so great to start our day in. Thing 1, Thing 2, Poet, KT and I all left camp prepped for the rainy day of walking ahead. We had lunch on top of the Caleb’s Peak and called into town to see what our options were for the night. After realizing we needed to get to the Route 4 by 3:45, we booked it! Luckily the terrain was forgiving except for the last climb we caused all of us except for Thing 2 to take a tumble. Tommy picked us up at the road and brought us to the gas station for some snacks then to his farmhouse. Coltsfoot Valley Farm is a dairy farm that has 16-17 cows, with a couple calf’s on the way. They also make cheese which we enjoyed with some Home fries cheffed up by Thing 1 and KT. This farm was one of the trails hidden gems.
