Wattshop 2-day (stage 1), 54:14 min, 5th. 
Miss-judged a right hander (the corner was more cornery than I anticipated lol). Knew I wasn't going to make it, so had to take the exit road to the left I had my eyes on. Managed to save it going straight and hitting some gravel, quick U-ee then got going again. Bit annoying, but have to just keep going and see how the rest of race pans out. A rider I'd overtaken was on my wheel and saw the spectacle 🤣. Hard asf course though, jesus. Rolling, that's fine, but the road surface for a lot of it was brutal! I'm on 30 mm tyres, and I'm still getting juggled around like nobody's business. Get me some 2.2 conti race kings on the Trinity. Sub 50 CR is bonkers. As is Dan and John still beating whilst on road bikes 😭. Yes, this style of course does close the gap to a road bike, but it's still nuts. I'll see if I can close that deficit on the out and back tomorrow.
