Morning Ride

Ride started with several teams going to the front with a rolling SAG.  About 40 stayed together till the mutual nature stop.  The teams had loaded bottles and such in the rolling SAG and were getting fresh bottles along the way.  Mostly followed the Silk Sheets and One Love routes.  Things got hard about 2 hours in and we lost a good amount of folks on the hard rollers.  Those who remained took turns at the front pushing the pace.  Some pace lining happened but would get broken up.  After the third hour and into the forth I started to take my turns at the front.  Felt good to have the legs to make the pulls that I did.  I was waiting for that one hill to Zap my legs and blow me off the lead group.  That hill never came.  Played it smart all day.  Had 5 bottles worth of liquid on board and ate all day.  Had plenty of energy to stay with the lead group all the way to the end.  Got super fast in the last 2 miles as we were motor pacing the Beck rolling SAG and everyone could smell home.  It was fun to roll in with some of Atlanta's best century riders and best racers.  Great day on the road, just a great day all together.
