New Year’s Eve Morning Run

Cold? Yes. Bearable? Yes. Run

Overall this was good, and a great way to end spring racing. This did get tough. Felt solid for the first 4 miles. Told myself to get to the turn around and see how the second half goes. It was a battle. Legs ever fatigued. Focused on running my race. Definitely went out fast, but with the downhill mile to start it was easy to fly. The top two finishers pulled away about mile 5 and were cruising easy. But this race was for me and the ultimate goal was under 60 mins, which I knew was very doable after running that time in previous Half’s. But to run 58 was the optimistic goal. Even with the struggle on the last few miles I knew the sub 60 was still possible. Getting under 59 made me happy! Solid race on a Friday night. Cheers.
