Time for a n=1 experiment
I'm planning on doing the same workout for six weeks at the same cadence, with three different inputs prior to the ride.  I will record RPE and observe the data from Strava, TrainerRoad and Garmin.  I will consume 800ml of water during the ride.

Wks 1 & 4 300ml of water, Smoothie with Beetroot, Apple, Ginger & Celery (30g carbs & 400mg of nitrate) and 3g of creatine (my daily routine for the past year)
Wks 2 & 5 300ml of water, Double shot of black coffee and 3g of creatine
Wks 3 & 6 600ml of water and 3g of creatine
Today's RPE was 4
