Day 111: 21.5 miles to Hostel of Maine (Route 27) (2010.1) 

A thunderstorm rolled in right as we were falling asleep. It was comforting to be in the shelter and we slept well with the rain on the tin roof. We started the day with a slight climb to Poplar Ridge then descended to Overton Stream which required us to get a little wet. We climbed up and over Spaulding Mountain and North and South Crocker. We skipped the blue blaze to Sugarloaf Mountain but we had been to the peak while skiing and had many miles left to go. We arrived at the Hostel of Maine which is well needed respite.
