Chaotic start with peloton being very fast. Martin Matuska  did great work to get us in the front so we avoided any risks and were able to be closer to controlling the race. On the first climb in Potepli we knew the strong teams will go hard and try to do a peloton selection. From that climb it was up to me and JJ Dostál  to keep ourselves close to the best. I tried to control the biggest favourites of the race close attacks/gaps and even had my moment leading the peloton for a while 😅 (which is very stupid tactical mistake). The climb in Mestecko (yes I know) I was pacing maybe a little too hard and right after that on the biggest climb to Roztoky I knew my work for JJ is done. I wish I could help him more but from that moment it was up to him. My race was done and I just wanted to get in a reasonable pace to the finish. I let myself to be caught by the second fastest group and went with them for a while. On Uhonicak climb they went strong and were still racing, I’ve decided to go solo last 25km. That was some serious fun. I felt like Pogi when he is alone in the front. Nobody in front of me or behind me I was just pacing to the finish. It was me and all the amazing fans by the road, cheering. At one point I had a support car going behind me photographers in front of me and was just soloing it through Prague and thinking: Is this my pseudo world tour moment? JJ finished 8th and 3rd in category! I finished 18th, so all good considering how flat this race was :)
