Afternoon Run

9 different peaks (5 trail, 4 bushwhacks; 11.5 peaks summited)

Driving to the Denning parking lot I got lost & thought, “hopefully this isn’t foreshadowing for the rest of the day”. 
The day started smooth. I felt really fast (yes fast as a feeling rather than a speed) going up to Slide in 1:05. Next I filled up my water at the Slide spring and continued on to summit Cornell and Wittenberg (and then Cornell again). I missed the initial herd path entrance for the bushwhack, started to backtrack and then decided to cut in and pick up the herd path. This is my first mistake. I got lost but eventually found my way up to Dink (not 3500ft counts as .5 mountain summit 🤪) then out to Friday continuing to get lost. The directional challenges cost me a significant amount of time and somewhere between 2 to 3 additional miles (original GPX file mapped this as an 18.3mi run). The hard path became easier to find as I got closer to Table, and I started recognizing the trail since I completed some of these peaks over Memorial Day weekend. I was relieved to see the trail for Peekamoose and ran happily the rest of the way.
