Day 121: 5.3 miles to Mount Katahdin (2198.5) 

It is truly hard to describe what it felt like climbing up to the summit of Katahdin. A mixed bag of emotions washed over me as I touched the sign. My mind, body, and soul experienced the desire to keep moving and to never move another step. Happiness, sadness, and thankfulness are the best way I could describe it.

Happy because we were done with this incredible journey. Sad for the exact same reason. Thankful for all the support we received and the people we were able to share the trail with. No one can prepare your for that moment, you just have to life in these emotions. 

The trail was incredibly fun but challenging going up the Hunt Trail but the views made it all worth it. We aren’t sure when and if we will be back but it will always be a special summit. Saw Leaf at the top whom we haven’t seen since Virginia. Trashman also summited shortly after us.
