A welcomed reprise - some of the flattest trekking on the entire trail. One last steep sneaky mountain (Nesuntabunt) to climb before Katahdin. “All down hill from here”

Camped next to an alpine lake with some of the most crystal clear water that New England has to offer. My first time making a fire in 88 days. Boy scout mode: activated. The bugs have been ruthless and it was strictly to combat their nasty asses. Raw dog and Juicy Fruit eventually made it to camp and the 3 of us swung life away by the fire.. The loons put on a communicative show last night yelling back and forth at one another. Never heard anything quite like it. The 3 of us laid silently in our tents in awe, never once interrupting the natural wonders of Mother Nature
