Fact of the day:  1 in 8 apples in Europe are from Sudtirol region - a total of 5,000,000,000 produced a year! 

A seriously overdressed day, with a rolled up long sleeve which I instantly regretted as the sun came out and the threat of more rain faded, with the mornings short shower no vaporised into the valley to create a humid windless soup. 

Even did a short section of gravel after a routing error, or was it planned…

Followed up by a lovely cruise along the valley floor towards Lana, where I then discovered a sting in the tail ascent after entering and exiting swiftly straight upwards on an average 13% climb 🥵

A gentle meander to Merano was then delightfully received before a place line blast back along the riverside bike path 🚴🏼‍♂️💨
