The Inaugural “I got lost running around Nahant might as well run a half” half marathon

Whew! First real road ride in over a year and a half and maybe it’s me being older but holy shit riding on the roads is so scary.   Knee felt so freaking good, no issues at all.  So psyched on that. Went into this ride blind on about 50% unknown roads to me, so never really got into a good groove as I was always cautious (which was probably smart). Besides being terrified riding with cars again, riding bikes is really fun. Was gonna stop along the way and coffee and croissant but was having g too much fun to stop.   

Also, I’ve been riding with clips for 10+ years and today, 3 miles into my ride, at a red light in front  a ton of outdoor diners I freaking bit it and fell. Luckily just the ego was hurt, and a small little bloody knee.  Couldn’t believe it.
