Afternoon Walk

This cache check-up should have only been 1.5 miles, but just my luck they were doing construction on the road. I asked him how many miles it was from that point to Winfield and he was like “ahhh it’s just around the bend no problem.” Ordinarily, no problem but I knew from the exorbitant amount of time I have spent on that road it was an extra 2 miles each way from Rockdale to Winfield. I didn’t want to be the annoying trail running Karen who was like you know this is interfering with my taper, so I sucked it up and walked.

On the bright side, I met a woman who lives in Winfield and she said I can use her internet when I need, so that’s a good connection. And lots of chipmunks, ground squirrels, and albert squirrels out. I have seen lots of smooshed ones too on these dirt roads which is really sad, so please be mindful. Okay rant over.
