It started raining as soon as I stepped outside and rained hard for the first half, then cleared up a bit. My left foot at the top near the able insertion is kind of cranky and I feel fairly run-down, so I took it very easy. Cool rain was enjoyable. Stopped a few times to check picked-over black raspberry brambles and take a phone call. 

Half- or maybe even quarter-hearted gentle hill strides toward the end.
