Easy effort, into darkness

Given the heat, went off too fast. Then over time the heat *really* got to me. Was still working hard but the resulting pace just kept dropping.
Stomach muscles cramp from about miles 23-24 caused 3 or 4 walk breaks to prod and poke. The cramp finally disappeared and I finished fairly strong.

Heartrate for 3:09:57 Brighton 2016 = 162
Heartrate for 3:21:15 London 2018 = 165
Without the forced walk breaks it would have been even higher.

I've seen quite a few strong runners on the sub-3 Facebook group who finished behind me, so I'm feeling a bit better now about the 3:21, which is still a 2nd fastest for me. Pretty sure sub-3:05 was possible if normal temps.
