I have wanted to have a crack at this segment and try to hit 50kph+ for a long, long time and decided that today would be the day for it…

Estimated beforehand it would take at least 400 to hit 50kph+ (probably closer to 410+). I had really good legs in the beginning so opened a bit too optimistically (1st 10mins @ 420-430 🙈) and blew up quite bad. However, stayed focus on defending the speed buffer I had managed to build up and was just able to hold the avg above 50kph.

Really nice to finally nail the segment even though it’s a bit of a disappointment not being able to get 400w+ (I felt quite confident that I had this in me, and maybe with some better pacing I would have come pretty close 😅).
