‍I and Ian found ourselves in a good competent group and we were doing good progress thru the flatlands of the Ferns then someone behind me (not sure how) fell and stuck his front wheel between my di2 rear mech and her wheel.
Rear mech destroyed, real hunger gone, and 1 spoke gone.
I twisted and zip tied the spokes, and wheel seemed true. But failed to convert bike into single speed. I was only 20km from Louth.

Called rescue which came after 1.5h, amazing people. Mechanic at control couldn’t help to size chain. Was skipping. Went to sleep and scratched. The travel back to the start was a mess.
