Solid day!🥉 Climbed well early on. Got roasted in the heat twice for like 15 min. Never underestimate a Nepalese on the start line. Had TWO salt pills explode before putting them in my mouth. Turns out that whatever’s in them, hurts like absolute fuck to go down your throat even with water.

Some v runnable and fast and a bunch of technical. Sweet course.

Loop 1 was solid and smooth.

Heat snuck up on me in the valley. Managed to cool off by just soaking myself in water a couple times along the way. Got my legs ripped off by the Nepalese dude in the middle of the second climb, then struggled in the heat for a bit. There was a 2.5ish mile uphill rolly section that was technical AF that I really bled time, due to heat and being a nini and not working as hard as I could have.

Struggled in the smooth sections of the final DH with side stitches 😮‍💨 v frustrating. Positive split this by two min or so. These seem to happen whenever I race farther than I’m used to.

All in all, this was solid. A year ago this would not of been possible at all. V much gratitude to be able to work hard and see progress.

Boa prova hoje! 🥉 Comecei bem na escalada e desci a primeira parte de forma controlada.
No início e no meio da segunda subida, o calor pegou forte por uns 15 minutos — foi aí que o terceiro colocado me passou.
Na última descida, a dor de lado me segurou e perdi tempo. Nada pior do que não poder acelerar no terreno rápido.

Muito grato por essa prova! Há um ano, isso seria impossível. Água mole em pedra dura, tanto bate até que fura.
