Druhý den na Silk Road Mountain Race a pořád žádné hezké fotky 😅 Moc jsem toho nenaspal a od rána jsem v Oshi hledal, kde koupit nová řídítka. Většina míst není na Google maps označená, takže musím použít lokální znalost - ptát se místních. Přes Google translate. Asi na třetí lokaci konečně nalézám obchod s komponenty. Zahazuji svoje řídítka s vibration damping za 200 euro a nahrazuji je za Shunan řídítka za 4 euro. Hlavně nové gripy na rukách dost cítím a nebudou na konci moc spokojené.
V pravé poledne znovu vyrážím z místa startu, 18 hodin za všemi dalšími závodníky. Krajina kolem Oshe je vyprahlá, smrdí tam hořící skládky, takže se těším do hor. Až do večera jsem beznadějně poslední. Po setmění v prvním stoupání ale míjím první stany a předjíždím první závodníky. Snad už zítra budou hezké výhledy a fotky...

Day two of the Silk Road Mountain Race and still no nice photos 😅 I barely slept and spent the morning in Osh trying to find new handlebars. Most shops aren’t on Google Maps, so I had to rely on local knowledge—asking people through Google Translate. At about the third stop I finally found a shop with components. I ditched my €200 vibration-damping bars and replaced them with Shunan handlebars for €4. The new grips are especially noticeable on my hands—they’re not going to be happy by the end.
At noon I set off again from the start, 18 hours behind all the other riders. The landscape around Osh is dry and reeks of burning landfills, so I’m looking forward to the mountains. Until evening I was hopelessly last. But after dark, in the first climb, I passed the first tents and overtook some riders. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some good views and photos...
