What a day! Hard to put into words how special this adventure really was! The way it all came together with the help, support, and planning of some amazing friends Jen Julien, Kristina Owen was truly amazing! We couldn’t have done it without you!🥰
Sharing this challenge/adventure with my husband, Thomas Smith was extra special. He always has these crazy cool adventures/challenges/ideas and I’m glad I get to come along for the ride. How lucky am I to have someone who wants to run with me to watch me set the women’s FKT when I know he could have set the men’s record?!? 🕺 just pumping me up the whole time with his positivity and occasional whistling behind me as he was “really enjoying himself” 😂🥹
Run aside, this place is just so special and unique and a last minute trip I’ll never forget. imagine a National Park where everyone you see in the “most touristy” parts says hello and wants to tell you all about their epic adventures, and hear of yours. The story telling was some of my favorite! Everyone is genuinely so thrilled to have made all the way to this remote island that most likely took two days to even get to. You can only get there by seaplane ✈️ or Ferry ⛴️! You can feel the energy in everyone you encounter and you share this beautiful rugged experience that will be a story to tell for a lifetime. The moose 🫎 and wolves 🐺 run free and the sightings are extra special and the hot topics of conversation. The loons are looning, the waves 🌊 crashing. The quietness of the island is surreal, and if you’re lucky with clear skies, the auroras dance above you. 
What a trip! 
We learned a lot about ourselves, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute, and our hearts are full from this mesmerizing island 🥰 we will be back!
