GPS is grossly wrong 😂 Watch didn’t even pick up the start but got pictures at the waterfall for proof. Should be a little over 9 miles. You think after all this time there would be watch technology that could function canyons/ slot canyons/ valleys/ wind etc. Anyways, today was one of those days where I had no idea where I would end up lol. After figuring out my van, I didn’t want to drive through Vegas/ Death Valley in the heat. I don’t have functioning AC in my van (hello heat training!), which is fine most of the time but I draw the line at 100+ degrees. So I decided to make a pit stop at Zion. Ever since they instated the shuttle system here it has made logistics simultaneously harder and easier. Had to park my car, hop on a slow bus, and hope that I would be able to finish this before 7:15. My punishment for not running fast enough would have been running an additional 6+ miles down the road. Pulled it off with plenty of time to spare. I think the last few years of slot canyoneering has helped me know how to move through canyons/ water efficiently (high knees!!). Definitely got a few comments and stares. Thanks to the dude who recognized me for saying hi! Sorry couldn’t chat longer. Saw a hummingbird, but like a canyon hummingbird not a mountain hummingbird.
